The excavation activities in the area near the fortress are still in progress: in fact, a votive well with a diameter of 2 meters has been found. From the well towards the west, what is thought to be the ancient Etruscan village (700 BC) extends.
The latest excavation campaigns in particular, have brought to light the remains of a sacred building where a large quantity of local ceramic production has been found (pug ceramic and “Bucchero” ceramic) as well as importation material (Attic ceramic and transportation amphoras).
