Type of thermal water: Carbonaceous sulphate-calcium-magnesium. Known from before 1100 AD. visited and restored by Countess Matilde of Canossa and remembered for the legendary story of the blackbird healed by the waters, it has always been considered one of the healthiest thermal waters in Italy. Studied and analyzed by illustrious doctors and chemists for its exceptional therapeutic properties, it gave Casciana Terme the ancient and noble frieze of Thermal Pearl of Italy. The temperature of the thermal water at the source is 35.7°C.

It is a clear and transparent odorless mineral water with a slightly bitter taste.
The spring was born inside the spa and its origins have been known since 1824,
its chemical composition makes it a mineral water different from others.
Since the spring was enclosed in a well inside the spa,
made people think that it was natural water for cooling the bathrooms,
hence the origin of the “well”.
It flows from the ground at a temperature of around 24°C.
and is used for particular drinking therapies.

indicated against venous circulation dysfunctions,

rhinitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis and all gynecological disorders.
VENOUS CIRCULATION DYSFUNCTIONS
For these problems, our hydromassage is a thermal technique that consists of staying in the tub for about 20 minutes, with thermal water at 36° C, rich in carbon dioxide which causes peripheral vasodilation, promoting venous return. It is indicated in chronic venous insufficiency, post-phlebitic syndrome, varicose veins, capillaropathies, venous stasis with peripheral edema. The waters of the Casciana Spa are particularly suitable for sciatica.
GYNECOLOGICAL DISORDERS

RHEUMATISM AND ARTHROSIS
Mud is a valid and effective response. It consists in the application of a thermalized slime (clay + thermal water) at a temperature of 45-50°, applied on the joints to be treated for approximately 20 minutes, after which, following, a thermal bath is carried out at 36° for approximately 10 minutes. It is useful in chronic rheumoarthropathies, such as forms of arthrosis of various localisations, in gouty syndrome, as a result of trauma and surgery.
WATER CURES
The waters are usefully used in both food-related and drug-induced liver toxicosis and in biliary tract dyskinesias, thanks to the hepato-protective action carried out by the sulphate ion. They are also indicated in hyperuricemia (gout) and hypercholesterolemia.
RHINITIS, PHARYNGITIS, BRONCHITIS
With the aerosol, these waters find useful applications in all pathologies of the oropharyngeal cavity such as sinusitis and rhinosinusitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, tracheitis, particularly in childhood where they determine an increase in immune defenses.
